Biography

With a successful 12-year recording career in his native Australia under his belt, Adam Brand has made the move to America to share his music with country music fans here. “My music is a reflection of me and how I view the world,” Adam says. “It’s not only something I love – it’s something I love to do.”
Born in the Western Australian city of Perth, Adam fell in love with music as a kid watching the band his dad and uncles had. “The very first time I sang in public, I was 3-years-old. Dad put me up onstage at a club.” Thanks to his father’s interest in music, Adam grew up listening to “everything from Elvis to The Eagles.” His musical influences include such artists as Garth Brooks and storytellers like John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen and Kris Kristofferson.
In 1999, Adam paid his first visit to Nashville. He came as a songwriter and returned annually to collaborate on songs that he would record and release in Australia. “It’s always been about communicating and telling the story,” Adam says. “But most of all, I want my music to be real. If someone meets me and hears my music, I want them to know that I mean it.” During his Australian music career, Adam has released several albums and won multiple awards.
Adam’s debut Arista Nashville single is called “Ready for Love.” “It’s my summer romance song,” he says. “We’ve all been on vacation…you meet someone…there’s a little bit of chemistry…and then you think, ‘I wonder if she’s picking up what I’m throwing down? Are we both on the same page? Are we both ready for love?’”
